Have months of incrementals - aren't they supposed to be getting removed?

Hi,

I have servers being backed up and I use the Continuous Incrementals with a weekly full backup.  Essentially the default values when you set up a CI job.  When each full backup runs, isn't it supposed to delete the previous files?  I don't need them, right? 

My version is 4.2.5.16175.

I also use ImageManager.  If that product will do the cleanup for me, then please let me know and how to do so.
