Hello, microsoft has asked us to update this driver STCVSM in conjunction with a server hang incident.
This is a virtual Shadow Protect and it is 5.2.7.38915

Is there a newer version that gives me a later driver?

I am restoring a SBS 2011 to new hardware (T630 H730P). Twice I have successully restored and booted the server only to have the server tell me to restart/add new hardware and I then get an unbootable error. Seems windows is replacing the H730p driver.

One of our sites is failing the incrementals at least once a day out of the 11 incrementals we have setup.
For example it may fail at 10.00am but work every hour incremental after that without error.

We have multiple servers running ShadowProtect Server and Virtual.
On only some of the VMs, I recently came across C:\ProgramData\zmlomobd.kxh, and found very little about it online.
Completing a file audit shows the following service is creating the file: C:\Program Files\StorageCraft\ShadowProtect\ShadowProtectSvc.exe.
Is this a known occurrence?
I am familiar with recovering a server to a Windows machine running VirtualBox. Then after running it how do you get it back to the hardware.
We've been running ESXi most places since 2008. Nigthly backups are simply. You make a copy of the VM. If something happens, you copy the VM back or run it to a server you copied it to.
Windows Server 2012 R2 server, installed the trial version and it runs through most of the backup job (approx 7 hours) before failing with an Access Denied message. I have a full version of Shadowprotect server on another 2012 R2 server in my office that copies backups to the same NAS and it has no problems. Both computers are using the same credentials, and I have verified connectivity to the backup location from the failing server.

Storagecraft has saved my clients and my business numerous times. Can't say enough good about it. I've always used servers with plenty of diskspace and backed up with Storagecraft. After testing Synology devices I'd like to begin moving clients to this format however I'm unaware of how to backup Synology with Storagecraft. Hopefully I'm overlooking something simple. Is it possible, what is the best way to go about it. Thank you.

I'm trying to find a download to upgrade our SBS2011 ShadowProtect to the most current version.
We haev just upgraded our Standard Server to version 5.2.7 but I cannot find a comparable upgrade for the SBS.
Currently running 5.1.5.33811

Just wondering if any one has used Shadow Protect on Azure server environments, and what the performance has been like?
We are setting this up at present with an extremely mixed bag of results
We have a windows server setup as a file store for backups - it is not domain joined
Server1: - File Server
Backup throughput never gets over 11mb's - standard file copies hit 55-60mb's
Server2: - App server 1
Backups run, but every incremental takes 20 minutes or more to run

The server failed and I've mounted the image of the data drive of the failed server. All Jpeg files will not open and cannot be copied.

If i can't do this via ShadowProtect we also have shadowcontrol so wondering i can querie that instead?

i have got a strage problem with a Win Server 2008R2. This weekend i migrated the Server from physical to a ESXi 6.0.0. Since then, the backups are very slow. Ca. 1-2,5 MB/sec. Before that it was about 80-100MB/sec. I did the following:
- checked performance settings
- created a new job
- updates SP to 5.2.7
- reinstalled SP
- checked the bandwith to the NAS with large files -> 95MB/sec
Has anybody got an idea what it could be?

Hello, Shadow Protect server edition 5.2.7.38915. Seems to be working well but a question about verify image.
If I select "verify selected image and all dependant files" and verify mode is "MD5", task status will be "failed" immediately. If verify mode is "normal" it will run to completion. Doesn't matter is the order is oldest to newest or vice versa.
Backup files are stored on a iSCSI attached storage box connected to another server on the LAN
Is this by design?

I work for an MSP and we look after a server that constantly shows up on our dashboard as 'Backup Status Cannot Be Determined'.
Previoulsy, i have reduced the event viewer log size to 4MB and this seemed to resolve the issues for a while but then suddenly it happens again. Backing up and clearing the event viewer logs seems to help but the issue reoccurs.
My backups are taking too long. I'm using Shadow Protect version 5.2.7. I've read that enabling Write Caching in Advanced options can speed up the backup. However I'm slighlty worried as the Shadow Protect manual does not recommend changing default settings.
If I enable write caching, and it completes successfully, is the backup 100% reliable? I'm worried it will say it completed sucessfully, but not have written to disk properly.
Has anyone used this setting and had problems restoring?
We had this issue while recovering a customer’s server; it took over 6 hours to recover a 394 GB server although this is not the biggest server we had recovered but it took the longest. Our server recovery hosts are connected via 10Gbps network to the controllers where these images are stored at our end. The storage is enterprise SANs accessed via FC. We looked at the CPU/Memory utilization on the SRE host and that looked fine too. The only difference
Backups don't start and there is no records of backups or error mesages on the "Backup History" tab unless I keep the ShadowProtect interface open. I tried to reinstall the software and recreate the backup job but problem persists. I'm on version 5 and Server SBS 2008.
