Image Manager - Execution Exception
I am getting the following error message on one of my server backup for the past 3 days.
\\nashostname\backup\servers\server01

what should I do ?
Incremental trigger runs full backup
Ive configured a continuous incremental backup job.
Ran the initial full backup successfully, and also ran first incremental backup successfully.
However after the first successfull incremental, Shadoprotect runs a full backup again.
Why is it doing this, is it a registry problem?
See log fiel below.
Full restore from Small Business Server 2003 under HyperV - I am confused
Thank you for helping me understand.
I am not proud of my confusion.
I hope I can describe my concern well enough to make it possible to help me.
I have a Windows Server 2012 machine running Hyper-V. Call this "Host"
Host has a virtual machine, running Small Business Server 2003. Call this "Guest"
Guest is running ShadowProtect Server version.
It backs up to S, a virtual drive (VHDX). (see Note 1, below)
Notes:
There is NO StorageCraft software running in the Host.
The Host is hosting only 1 VM - this SMS 2003 Guest.
Permissions required when running as a service?
Help me out guys, I can't find anything in the documentation on this. And I know I've done it somewhere/somehow before.
ShadowProtect SBS 5.0.3.26070 on SBS 2003. Backup Destination on another Windows box, hidden share, permissions for my_domain\my_service all set to allow the service to create/write there.
I want to run my ShadowProtect as a service with least permissions.
I'm struggling with the source permissions I need to give to the my_domain\my_service account to allow it to create backups to pump over to the destination.
Attach jobname to Email notification?

Need some pointers on ShadowProtect Server on how to do these scenario?
Greetings Team,
I just joined as a new ShadowProtect Server user few days ago and I require some advice on certain things since I've tried my best to find a KB or best practices guide but was unable to do so hence this post.
how do I start, hmm.. okay here we go,
Create my own arbitrary backup chain
Hi,
Backup 4 VMs on Hyper-V host
Hi all,
I am going to install Server 2012 with Hyper-V role to host 4 VMs. I understand that I could purchase ShadowProtect Virtual to backup VMs. but here are a few questions still
- One of the VMs is SBS2011.
Does StorageCraft has a version for virtual SBS?
- Do I need to backup the host? If so, how?
- Where do I send the backups of VM to?
I assumed I should connect a USB hard drive to the host. But would VMs recognize this USB drive?
Thanks
Jack
Licensing Portal???
Is there a way that I can view my own licensing, as in a portal? So I can administer my own licenses per server instead of waiting two days in the queue so support can do this so I can deactiavate and activate licenses for 10 minutes worth of work.
Unable to create Network Share destination - Verification Failed, The system cannot find the path specified
Hi,
I need help with ShadowProtect version 5.0.4.2763. We had issues with our NAS server and had to reconfigure. Due to NAS network and share changes, I thought I'd start again from scratch by deleting existing jobs and destinations.
Upon creating a new job, I select the destination type as Network Share and I would put in the UNC, IP address etc and I keep getting "Verification Failed. The system cannot find the path specified". I've restarted the SBS server, I ran the installation file again and chose repair and I keep getting the same error.
Receiving "Server unable to communicate with backup device" email notification every hour.
Hello,
We are running Storagecraft ShadowProtect (Version 3.5.2.5266) and ARCA Dashboard (Version 5.4.0) on our Windows Storage Server 2003 to back up our servers. I have been getting emails from the ARCA program every hour of every day since I've been working my new job (six months now) and the others say it's just a bug in the program. Although our backups are always successful, I still keep getting the email for the same server. I would like to know if anyone else has had this issue and if there is a fix for it. I have copied the email message below.
SP Virtual Server Suite, 1 pack option?
Dear support staff!
It looks like if I have 4 VMs on a host, I will have to buy 6pack Virtual Server Suite!!
- why 1 pack is not an option?
The client has two sites connected via VPN. I would like to backup these 4 VMs offsite
- If I would like to backup the 4VMs offsite to the other site, what hardware/software do I need to setup in the other site?
- If I would like to backup the 4VMs offsite to StorageCraft cloud, is there still an extra charge even if I purchase Virtual Server Suite?
Thanks!
Jack
Implications of changing target for ShadowProtect job
I have an SBS running ShadowProtect SBS Edition. There is currently a single continuous incremental job that uses an external NAS device as its target. I have now added another, faster, NAS device as an iSCSI target and I want the backup job to use that instead. Once this is working, I will then reconfigure the original NAS as an iSCSI target and use that as a local replication target for ImageManager.
Remote Upload
Hi,
We are using ShadowProtect Serer Edition to backup some servers (continious incrementals) of our clients. Every night, when the backup has completed, A Powershell script I made myself, will check for new files in the Backup Destination folder, en will upload these files to a remote FTP server. This is working very good.
To preserve disk space, we now want to implement the StorageCraft ImageManager. I've configured it as follows:
Spontaneous new base image taken
Hi!
We have had a number of scenarios where ShadowProtect 5.x takes a new base image for no apparent reason. This throws out offsite storage situation out of whack.
Is there any way I can make it continue with the prior image chain?
And is there any way to detemine why it will take a new base image for seemingly no reason? Can it be set to give an error instead of taking a new base so we can try to fix what is wrong?
Thanks.

Hi, I have a server that has just started throwing these errors. This is out of the blue and no changes have been made recently. Backup is continuous incremental to a netgear NAS. Multiple email alerts profile
Hi there,
I hope this hasn't been discussed in a previous post but I wasn't able to find an answer.
I'd like to know if it is possible within Shadow protect and/or Image Manager to setup a different email alerts set for multiple emails addresses.
What I'm trying to solve here is this:
We are monitoring backups for several customers and use the email alerts to get notifications of backups failure or inactivity, but we do not want to get a daily/weekly report of successful backups as it creates a ticket in our system.
Bare Metal Restore to Dell servers with S Series RAID controllers does not work
I added a hard drive to a RAID-5 on a T310 with S300 controller running Microsoft Server 2008 64 between Christmas and New Years at a customer site because the D: drive on the extended partition was getting full. It added itself to the array fine and rebuilt itself back to normal. Then I used AOMEI to extend the partition, and it politely said it needed to adjust the partition and reboot. After it did, the C partition was gone. I then learned the hard way that ShadowProtect could not restore the server, no matter what we tried, and when I say we, I mean me and Storag
